ओमान के बाद भारत ने अब न्यूजीलैंड के साथ ऐतिहासिक Free Trade Agreement (FTA) साइन कर लिया है। Ministry of Commerce & Industry ने इस डील को Bharat 2047 Vision से जोड़ते हुए इसे people-centric और jobs-driven strategic partnership बताया है।
एक तरफ टैरिफ दीवारें गिर रही हैं, दूसरी तरफ भारतीय exporters की बांछें खिल रही हैं।
Indian Exports को Zero Duty का Gift
इस FTA के तहत भारत के 100% exports को Zero Duty Market Access, भारत ने न्यूजीलैंड को 70% tariff lines में liberalisation दी। इससे 95% bilateral trade कवर होगा।
Textiles, pharmaceuticals, leather, engineering goods और agricultural products को सबसे बड़ा फायदा मिलेगा।
Services, Jobs और Professionals के लिए Jackpot
न्यूजीलैंड ने भारत को अब तक का best-ever services access दिया है 118 services sectors खुले, IT, Professional Services, Telecom, Construction, Tourism शामिल। 139 sub-sectors में MFN कमिटमेंट। मतलब: Indian professionals के लिए global playground तैयार।

FTA का सबसे attractive हिस्सा—Student Mobility
- Post-study work visas
- STEM graduates: up to 3 years
- Doctoral scholars: up to 4 years
- No numerical caps
Translation: अब पढ़ाई सिर्फ डिग्री नहीं, global career passport बनेगी।

- Apples, kiwifruit और honey के लिए Centres of Excellence
- Knowledge transfer + productivity boost
- Quotas और minimum import prices से safeguards
और सबसे अहम— Dairy, milk, cheese, onions, sugar, edible oils जैसी sensitive items बाहर रखी गईं।
